ABOUT US

St Andrew's Children's Place is a 501(c)3, non profit organization, serving children ages 2 months to 5 years. We offer a Christian environment, where children will be encouraged to develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Through strong, child-teacher relationships, we create an atmosphere for active learning and problem solving. In addition, our community strives to meet the individual needs of each child and his, or her family.

CURRICULUM

In each of our classes we provide a developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum. Our dedicated and skilled teachers communicate God’s love and Christian concepts throughout their daily activities. They captivate your child’s imagination and provide experiences and choices directed towards maximum growth of the total child.

Our curriculum is based on thematic units containing evidence based goals and objectives that are developmentally appropriate for each age level. Each classroom is a unique learning environment composed of centers for exploration in art, science and math, dramatic play, manipulatives, sensory experiences, writing and language skills, block building, books and literacy and more. Children have a combined time of moving freely about their learning centers as well as enjoying some teacher directed group activities and some student directed group activities.  Teachers also work one-on-one with children who may need extra time for a certain skill or with students who might benefit from extra enrichment. Outdoor play or activities in our Family Center are an integral part of every day.

For more specific curriculum goals and objectives, please visit the links found in each individual age level section.

ACCREDITATION

St. Andrew’s Children’s Place is accredited by Cognia. This is a voluntary national accreditation process with standards that far exceed the licensing requirements of the state. The process involves an intense self-study involving administrators, staff, and parents, annual reports to verify adherence to standards, and finally a visit and extensive evaluation from Academy representatives every five years. Receiving National Accreditation is a true indicator of a high quality early childhood program. Read more about Cognia.
