DAY SCHOOL  PROGRAM

Classes are held Mid-August through May, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with options of 2, 3, or 5 days a week. Summer sessions are available.

 

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM

The Extended Day program serves the unique needs of families requiring childcare Mon.-Fri.; 7:00 am to 6:00 pm from June through May.

 

OUR SCHOOL YEAR*

• Classes for our extended day students are held year-round from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Classes for our Day School students are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Our Extended Day School calendar runs from June-May.  All students move up to their new classroom at the beginning of June.
• School is closed for major holidays as well as teacher training and in-service days.

*St. Andrew's Children's Place is considered a year-round preschool with extended day hours.  Although we are open year-round and operate for our extended day students from 7:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m., we do have a few more closures than a typical year-round childcare facility.

 

SUMMER PROGRAM

Our exciting summer program at St. Andrew’s Children’s Place offers a variety of enriching thematic units designed to spark creativity and curiosity in young children. Each week, we offer sessions with different curriculum themes, including art, music, science, literature, crafts, and more. These engaging themes are carefully planned to provide hands-on, fun, and educational experiences that foster a love for learning.

In addition to our thematic units, we invite guest speakers and special activities to further enrich the summer experience. Children will have the opportunity to interact with:

• Puppet Shows
• Scientists
• Zookeepers
• Superheroes
• And other exciting visitors who bring learning to life!

 

A highlight of our summer program is our partnership with the School of Fine Arts (SOFA), where we offer a week-long Fine Arts Camp for our 3-4-year-old students. This camp provides a unique opportunity for children to explore various artistic forms, including visual arts and performing arts, in a creative and supportive environment.

 

Additionally, our summer program includes several weeks of Vacation Bible School (VBS), adapted specifically for our preschool-age children. Through Bible stories, music, crafts, and hands-on activities, VBS helps children develop spiritually and build a strong foundation in Christian faith in a fun and interactive way.
