ABOUT US

St. Andrew's SOFA is an outreach ministry of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Since 2005, we have offered after school instruction in art and music for students ages 0 to 99, with the option of private or group lessons. The school provides a unique educational environment with teachers who have advanced degrees and training in piano, voice, violin, and guitar. For the young musician, we offer Musikgarten classes, a preeminent early childhood music curriculum. There are also adult classes for "big kids" who enjoy and want to learn to play and appreciate music. SOFA enrolls students in the fall, spring and summer semesters, and offers one-of-a-kind summer camps that incorporate music, dance, drama and art. SOFA students come from the surrounding communities as well as from the greater Houston area. Scholarships are available, and  families with financial needs should contact the director for an application. The faculty at SOFA present a family-friendly concert biannually as a fundraiser to support those students in need of financial support. We at St. Andrew's strive to provide quality instruction for those interested in the arts, and do not want financial barriers to hinder that goal.
