Mandy Kung was born in Taiwan and moved to Houston at the age of 9. Her love of music and playing the piano led her to the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston where she received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and a Masters of Piano Performance and Pedagogy.

Mandy is the founder and Director of the School of Fine Arts (SOFA) at St. Andrew’s, now in its 20th season. In 2023, she became the St. Andrew’s Worship Coordinator and Music Director. Mandy enjoys working with children and adults of all ages and loves sharing her passion for worship with the community at St. Andrew’s. Mandy previously worked as a consultant and staff accompanist at her alma mater, HSPVA. She also works as a collaborative artist, accompanist, and pedagogue in the Houston area. She is a member of the Forum Music Teacher’s Association and recently completed her term as president of the local chapter of the Music Teacher’s National Association.

In her spare time, Mandy loves to travel, sample different cuisines and coffee shops with friends, and explore the Houston arts scene.
